Self Regenerate: Pilot Testing Activities

Self Regenerate EU Project

Self-Regenerate focuses on the creation of a new and innovative methodology for VET students while combining the Bridge Model methodology and Business English.

The Bridge Model is about creating jobs. It is a practical, flexible and proven framework to support new business people, new entrepreneurs, social innovators and public sector organizations spinning out into the private sector. It consists of four stages – each termed a ‘bridge’. Each step over the bridge offers support to a business person and entrepreneur and is supported by insightful advice from active business people.

The Bridge model has been modified and adapted for the Self-Regenerate project.

  • Bridge 1: I WISH TO LEARN ABOUT MY REGION -> I AM WELL VERSED IN THE SOCIOECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT OF MY REGION
  • Bridge 2: I HAVE AMBITIONS TO BE AN ENTREPRENEUR -> I AM READY TO BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR IN MY REGION
  • Bridge 3: I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR IN MY REGION -> I AM READY TO BECOME A GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUR
  • Bridge 4: SELF REFLECTION -> WHAT HAVE I LEARNT? AM I ABLE TO TRANSFER THAT TO THE NEW LEARNERS FOLLOWING ME?

The Intellectual Outputs of the project, that is the Curriculum & Trainer’s Manual, the Handbook for Trainers, and the Training Manual for Learners have been finalized and uploaded on the website of the project, along with 10 tutorial videos that will complement these documents. On the learning platform, you can find the activities and videos for each Bridge separately.

The pilot testing of the Intellectuals Outputs was planned to be done with 2 trainers and 15-20 VET students per country face-to-face, but due to COVID-19, it will be done online.

The activities include games and exercises that want the learners to gain some insight and knowledge on learning about the socioeconomic situation of their region, learning skills needed in order to become regional and global entrepreneurs, and transferring their knowledge to other learners.

These activities are a mixture of simulation games, quizzes, brainstorming and debating activities, role-playing, self-awareness, and visualisation.
