News from 2nd Transnational Meeting of Startup Project:
Entrepreneurship among young people with disabilities
Academy of Entrepreneurship, coordinator of the ACPALA project Start Up, participated in the seminar Startup Project: Entrepreneurship among young people with disabilities hosted by United Voice in Malaysia that took place from 4th to 8th March 2020, in the context of the 2nd Transnational Meeting of the project.
Representatives from UK, Chile, Greece and Malaysia gathered together to share best practices of entrepreneurship for people with disabilities in each country and exchanged ideas in developing material for e-learning modules.
During the workshop, partners had the opportunity to learn about interesting cases on employment experiences and start-up initiatives in Malaysia run by People with Disabilities – Swee Lan Yeo ¦ Autism Cafe ¦ Ace Altair Travels Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
Partners also visited The Bassment 地下事 to learn more about how they set up and run their business.
The e-learning modules will be used to train support workers to provide guidance & support for young persons with disabilities towards sustainable self-employment or entrepreneurship.
