People working together

A new journey begins for the Academy of Entrepreneurship, as we join forces with European partners in an exciting new project — VR4T: Virtual Reality for Tourism. The project explores how Virtual Reality (VR) can reshape tourism training and help the sector embrace innovation, sustainability, and modern service delivery.

By bringing together technology and vocational education, VR4T seeks to build a bridge between emerging VR tools and the growing demand for digital skills in tourism. At the heart of this initiative is a commitment to empower both VET educators and tourism professionals with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Project Objectives

VR4T focuses on two key target groups:

  • VET teachers, who will be equipped with tools and training to integrate VR into tourism-related education.

  • Tourism professionals, who will gain practical knowledge on how to apply VR to enhance visitor experiences and improve service quality.

Through this dual focus, the project supports the upskilling of today’s workforce and the preparation of tomorrow’s tourism experts.

Key Activities

To bring its goals to life, VR4T will implement four main activities:

  • Curriculum Development
A specialized training curriculum will be designed, focusing on the application of Virtual Reality in tourism education. It will address the learning needs of both VET teachers and tourism professionals.

  • Creation of a Digital Learning Platform (OER)
An open-access e-learning space will host the curriculum, tools, and resources, enabling blended and remote learning experiences.

  • Training and Capacity Building
VET teachers and tourism professionals will participate in hands-on training sessions to become familiar with the curriculum and VR tools.

  • Pilot Testing with Students
The learning platform will be tested by 20 VET students in each partner country, ensuring its effectiveness and usability before wider rollout.
