The Academy of Entrepreneurship proudly announces the launch of the new European project “Stories Beyond Borders: Virtual Narratives for Civic Empowerment”, in which it participates as the coordinator, bringing together partners from Greece, Italy, Madagascar, Kenya, and Cabo Verde.
This innovative initiative aims to create meaningful opportunities for young people to connect across borders, share their experiences, and actively engage in civic life through creative digital tools.
At its core, Stories Beyond Borders focuses on strengthening intercultural dialogue, democratic participation, and digital competences through inclusive virtual exchanges.
What is the project about?
In a world where young people face increasing barriers to participation, access to international experiences, and digital literacy, the project introduces a dynamic and accessible approach: creative digital storytelling.
Through activities such as podcasting, digital narration, and short film creation, participants will explore important social and civic issues while collaborating with peers from different cultural backgrounds.
The project promotes:
- Intercultural understanding and collaboration
- Civic engagement and critical thinking
- Media literacy and digital skills
- Youth empowerment and employability
Who is it for?
The project primarily targets young people aged 13–30, especially those from disadvantaged or underrepresented backgrounds, offering them a space to express themselves creatively and connect globally.
At the same time, youth workers and facilitators will receive specialized training to enhance their skills in digital storytelling and virtual facilitation, enabling them to better support young people in inclusive and innovative ways.
What’s coming next?
Over the next months, the project will roll out a series of exciting activities, including:
- Digital storytelling labs, where young people will co-create content such as podcasts, films, and narratives
- Virtual intercultural exchanges, connecting participants from Europe and Africa
- Training programmes for youth workers, focusing on digital tools and creative methodologies
- The development of a Digital Story Hub, an online platform showcasing youth-created content
- A Virtual Storytelling Festival, celebrating the voices, stories, and creativity of young people
