EntrePubl Recognized as a Social Innovation Match Case Study!
A Benchmark for Social Innovation in the Public Sector
We are proud to announce that the EntrePubl project has been selected as a SIM Case Study by the Social Innovation Match Tool (SIM)! This recognition highlights EntrePubl as one of the most inspiring examples of social innovation in Europe, setting a benchmark for addressing the pressing needs of the public sector through entrepreneurial and digital upskilling.
Why is EntrePubl So Innovative?
EntrePubl is an EU Project which redefines how public sector employees approach their roles, challenges, and opportunities. By fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, the project empowers public servants to think creatively, work collaboratively, and contribute actively to their organizations and communities.
Unlike traditional training programs, EntrePubl goes beyond technical skills, promoting a holistic transformation that combines entrepreneurial thinking, digital education, and practical application. The project’s curriculum is tailored to the needs of public employees across Europe and introduces flexible, blended learning paths that fit seamlessly into their professional lives.
The EntrePubl program has proven that entrepreneurship is not just about starting a business—it is a life-wide competence that enhances problem-solving, creativity, and innovation in any workplace, including the public sector.
Impact Across Europe
The numbers speak for themselves:
- 660 public servants and trainers have directly benefited from the program.
- A virtual community of practice has brought together professionals from 6 European countries, fostering collaboration and sharing best practices.
- The program has contributed to the development of a certification scheme for trainers, ensuring sustainability and long-term impact.
Qualitatively, EntrePubl has instilled a culture of innovation and inclusivity in the public sector, addressing critical challenges such as siloed thinking, low digital literacy, and resistance to change. In Belgium, Greece, Slovakia, Italy, Romania and Cyprus, public employees now have the tools and confidence to deliver modern, citizen-centered services, ensuring higher efficiency and better outcomes.
SIM Recognition: A Milestone for EntrePubl
The Social Innovation Match (SIM) is a platform developed by the European Commission under the ESF Social Innovation+ initiative, managed by the European Competence Centre for Social Innovation (EUCCSI). It promotes the transfer and scaling-up of social innovations across Europe by showcasing inspirational initiatives and connecting stakeholders.

This distinction highlights the project’s innovative methodology, which combines entrepreneurial mindset development and digital upskilling to address systemic challenges faced by public employees across Europe.
Being part of the SIM database validates EntrePubl’s impact and positions it as a resource for inspiring other social innovation initiatives. It demonstrates how collaborative efforts among VET providers, public institutions, and policymakers can drive transformative change, modernize public services, and create value for citizens.
