SMEs have undisputed significance in driving Europe’s economic growth, accounting for 85% of new jobs and 66% of private sector employment. As such, the quality and relevance of the vocational entrepreneurship education provided for new and existing entrepreneurs plays a key role in achieving the 2020 goals of smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.

From 27 – 28 April, our first in-person transnational partner meeting took place in Händel-city Halle! Due to the ongoing COVID-9 situation, not all partners could be present, so we held the meeting in hybrid form.
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy has been unprecedented. The Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) in Ireland, has recently published the report SME Financial Distress and the Macroeconomic Recovery which looks at the economic impact of the pandemic on SMEs.
The 2021 SME Assembly, the first European-wide, post-COVID conference organized by the European Commission to be actually held in person, took place in 15-17 November at Portorož in Slovenia, under the auspices of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union
