Taking entrepreneurship to Greece’s top tourism fair

The Academy of Entrepreneurship (AKEP) will participate in this year’s Philoxenia tourism fair, the largest of its kind in Greece, being held in Thessaloniki.

AKEP’s Social Innovation Director Alessandro Carbone will inform participants at the fair, running for November 10-12, how they can benefit from two online tourism courses AKEP is putting together, along with another nine partners from six countries across Europe.

The European Commission has appointed AKEP to run the Greece leg of an initiative called “European Tourism Careers” that aims at improving the employability of those who want to enter the sector, or are already working in tourism.

Tourism businesses also qualify for these courses, which run for 20 hours and are offered for free to all parties by the European Commission.

AKEP’s booth will be located at Pavilion n° 13 (stand n° 26) at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition and Congress Center.
